Tuberous Breast Correction
Tuberous breast is a congenital breast deformity that is characterized by an elongated breast with a very constricted base and a large nipple-areolar complex through which breast tissue can herniate.
It is one of the most challenging congenital anomaly with significant psychosocial implications.
Based on the different degrees of deformity, surgical correction may vary from releasing the constriction and re-arranging the breast tissue to using an implant if parenchymal tissue is deficient.
These surgical corrections can be life changing for many young adults giving them normal appearing breasts.
